Tauschia parishii (J.M.Coult. & Rose) J.F.Macbr. is a low-lying perennial herb that reaches 10 to 40 centimeters in height. Its leaf blades are divided into elongated leaflets, which are further subdivided into toothed or lobed segments. The inflorescence is a compound umbel made up of yellow flowers, with 12 to 18 rays that are each a few centimeters long. The fruit is oblong with prominent ribs, and measures between 0.5 and 1 centimeter long. This plant grows in multiple mountain ranges: the Sierra Nevada, White Mountains, Inyo Mountains, Tehachapi Mountains, San Gabriel Mountains, San Bernardino Mountains, western Transverse Ranges, San Jacinto Mountains, and other northern Peninsular Ranges. Its native habitats include chaparral, Yellow pine forest, Red fir forest, and Pinyon-juniper woodland.
