About Synthyris borealis Pennell

Veronica alaskensis, commonly called Alaska speedwell or northern kittentails, is a flowering plant species that belongs to the genus Veronica in the family Plantaginaceae. This species was first formally described under the name Synthyris borealis Pennell in 1933 by botanist Francis W. Pennell. It was reclassified and transferred to the genus Veronica under the name Veronica alaskensis in 2004. This plant is native to Alaska and Yukon.
