About Sidalcea candida A.Gray
Sidalcea candida, commonly known as white checkerbloom, prairie mallow, or white checkermallow, is also called wild hollyhock. It is a wildflower that grows from Nevada to Wyoming, extending south to southern New Mexico. This species is most often found in mountain meadows and alongside streams. The plant can reach a height of three feet. Its flowers measure around one inch wide, and each flower has five petals. It blooms between June and September.
