Saproscincus spectabilis, commonly known as the gully shadeskink, is a small lizard that occurs in Queensland and New South Wales, Australia.

Habitat & Diet

It lives in cool, shaded gullies, where it feeds on small insects. Individuals can also be spotted on sunny rocky outcrops located within these gullies.

Anti-Predation Adaptations

The species relies on ground cover and rocky cracks to escape predation from birds including kookaburras and pied currawongs.
