Distribution
It can be found in Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, western Colombia, and northwestern Ecuador.
Habitat Elevation Range
Its natural habitats are humid lowland and premontane forest, ranging from sea level up to approximately 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) above sea level.
Microhabitat
It is typically found in bushes and trees growing along forest streams, though established populations of this species can still persist along streams located in pastures that only have minimal riparian growth.
Population Status
It is a common species.

While local populations can face threats from habitat loss, the species as a whole is not currently facing any major threats.
