About Rostellularia adscendens (R.Br.) R.Barker
Rostellularia adscendens is an Australian plant species that belongs to the Acanthaceae family. It reaches a height between 10 and 50 cm. This species can be found growing along streams or in rocky woodland areas across Western Australia, the Northern Territory, South Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland. This taxon was first formally published by botanist Robert Brown in 1810 in his work Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiae, where he originally named it Justicia adscendens. In 1986, R.M. Barker transferred the species to the genus Rostellularia, establishing its current scientific name Rostellularia adscendens (R.Br.) R.Barker.
