About Rorippa curvisiliqua (Hook.) Bessey ex Britton

Rorippa curvisiliqua (Hook.) Bessey ex Britton is an annual or biennial herb with highly variable appearance. It grows stems ranging from prostrate to erect, reaching up to half a meter in length. Its leaves grow to a maximum of 7 centimeters long; leaf blades can be smooth-edged or divided into lobes of varying shapes. The inflorescence is an elongated raceme that occupies the upper portion of the stem, holding many tiny yellow flowers only a few millimeters long. The fruit is a silique that also varies in size and shape, and it typically holds many minute seeds. This species has been split into a number of separate varieties, though some botanical authorities question whether this classification is valid or useful.
