About Psorothamnus emoryi (A.Gray) Rydb.
Psorothamnus emoryi is a shrub that reaches a height of 3 to 4 feet, or approximately 1 meter. Its leaves are covered in hairs and have a grayish-white color, which helps reflect sunlight. It produces terminal clusters of purple and white, pea-shaped flowers. Flowering occurs between March and June, and continues until the hot, dry conditions of early to mid-summer arrive. The plant is both fragrant and oily, and it has been used to make dyes and stains.
