About Pseudodictamnus mediterraneus Salmaki & Siadati
Pseudodictamnus mediterraneus Salmaki & Siadati is a low, mound-forming evergreen shrub that reaches 50 centimetres (20 in) in both height and width. It produces nearly circular, dished, silver-green leaves with a soft felted texture. In late spring and early summer, it grows large quantities of pink flowers, which are mostly hidden by the plant's leaves. This shrub can tolerate temperatures as low as −10 °C (14 °F), but it needs very dry conditions, sharp drainage, and full sun to grow well. This species is native to dry Mediterranean regions of Europe and western Asia, including South Aegean Greece, Egypt, Libya, and Turkey. It has also been introduced as an introduced species to the British Isles and Sicily, Italy.
