Distribution and Habitat
Psammophis leightoni occurs in fynbos, veld, and the Karoo, Kalahari, and Namib desert biomes across South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia, and also in a small area of coastal southern Angola.
Reproduction Mode
This species is oviparous.
Clutch and Hatchling Size
Its typical clutch size is around eight eggs, and newly hatched individuals measure 22–24 cm (8.7–9.4 in) in total length including the tail.
