About Pothos chinensis (Raf.) Merr.

Pothos chinensis, commonly called Chinese pothos, is a climbing plant species in the family Araceae. It is native to the Indian subcontinent, southern China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and the Nansei Islands of Japan. This species is a root-climbing liana that can grow up to 10 meters long. Its leaves are ovate to lanceolate and feature distinctive intramarginal venation. The plant produces green to white spathes that enclose a globose to ovoid spadix. Its fruits change color from green to scarlet as they ripen. It grows primarily in wet tropical biomes, and can flower and fruit year-round.
