It is used in Mexican cuisine, most often to add flavor to meat dishes. It has a strong flavor similar to fresh coriander, with additional notes of lemon and anise. Fresh and dried Porophyllum linaria is sold as a condiment in some Mexican markets, and it is also used as a medicinal herb.
