About Platylobium triangulare R.Br.

Platylobium triangulare, commonly known as ivy flat-pea, is a shrub species endemic to Australia. It belongs to the family Fabaceae and the genus Platylobium. The species was formally described in 1812 by botanist Robert Brown in the publication Hortus Kewensis. Brown collected the type specimen of this species in Tasmania. Platylobium triangulare is a generally prostrate shrub that bears sharply triangular leaves 1.2 to 2 centimetres long. It is reasonably common in sandy heath habitats located in eastern and northern Tasmania. This species has often been misidentified as Platylobium obtusangulum.
