About Pectis humifusa Sw.

Pectis humifusa Sw., commonly called yerba de San Juan, is a summer-flowering annual plant belonging to the genus Pectis. In the Lesser Antilles, this species grows most often in the salt spray zone adjacent to the seashore, and it can also be found growing inland on some islands. It is native to the floral regions of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Florida.
