About Pandorea baileyana (Maiden & R.Baker) Steenis
Pandorea baileyana (Maiden & R.Baker) Steenis is a woody climbing vine. Its leaves are typically arranged in opposite pairs, and measure 130โ300 mm (5.1โ11.8 in) in total length. Each leaf bears seven or nine egg-shaped leaflets, which are 55โ140 mm (2.2โ5.5 in) long and 20โ55 mm (0.79โ2.17 in) wide. The entire leaf structure is hairless (glabrous) with prominent main veins. The main leaf petiole is 20โ70 mm (0.79โ2.76 in) long, and each individual leaflet attaches via a short petiolule 2โ3 mm (0.079โ0.118 in) long. Flowers are borne in groups that emerge from leaf axils, and these flower groups are 100โ300 mm (3.9โ11.8 in) long. This species has five sepals that measure 3โ4 mm (0.12โ0.16 in) long. The fused petal tube is 10โ15 mm (0.39โ0.59 in) long and 2โ4 mm (0.079โ0.157 in) in diameter; it is cream-coloured, with a pink interior throat, and has petal lobes 2โ3 mm (0.079โ0.118 in) long. Flowering takes place between September and March. This species grows in rainforest habitats, ranging from south-eastern Queensland to Minyon Falls in northern New South Wales.
