It has a crooked trunk, rough flaking bark, and a rounded canopy.
Flowering
From autumn through spring, it produces large panicles of small, sweetly scented flowers that range in color from white to cream.
Distribution Range
This species is native to southern and eastern Africa, where its distribution extends from South Africa through Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, and eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, all the way to Uganda and Kenya.
Habitat
It is a characteristic species of undifferentiated Afromontane forest in southern and eastern Africa.
