About Neopanax laetus (Kirk) Allan

Pseudopanax laetus, commonly called the shrub panax, is a flowering plant species. It belongs to the subfamily Aralioideae of the family Araliaceae, and it is native to the North Island of New Zealand. This species is part of the Neopanax clade, so it is sometimes referred to by the scientific name Neopanax laetus (Kirk) Allan. It has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. It is only recorded from the North Island of New Zealand, where it grows in mountain-region forests.
