About Nemastylis nuttallii Pickering ex R.C.Foster

Nemastylis nuttallii, commonly known as Nuttall's pleatleaf, Ozark celestial-lily, or pine woods lily, is a plant species native to Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma in the south-central United States. Some authors have mistakenly identified this species as N. coelestina. It is a bulb-forming perennial herb that grows up to 40 cm (3 feet) tall. Its stems are usually unbranched, and its leaves are very narrow and linear. The species produces pale blue flowers that open in the evening.
