Muehlenbeckia adpressa, which has the scientific name Muehlenbeckia adpressa (Labill.) Meisn., is commonly called climbing lignum. This native Australian plant grows as a prostrate or climbing species. It produces thin red-brown stems that can reach up to 1 metre (3 ft 3 in) in length. Its leaves measure between 1.5–6 centimetres (0.59–2.36 in) long and 1.5–3.5 centimetres (0.59–1.38 in) wide. The species grows in coastal areas of the Australian states and territories of Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and New South Wales.
