About Monardella hypoleuca A.Gray

Monardella hypoleuca A.Gray is a perennial herb. It grows an upright purple stem that is covered in short hairs. Its green leaves range from lance-shaped to oval, grow in opposite arrangements along the stem, and have woolly white undersides. The inflorescence forms a head of several flowers, held within a cup-like cluster of woolly-haired purplish bracts that measure 2 to 4 centimeters wide. Individual flowers are roughly 1.5 centimeters long, and are white or tinged with purple.
