Human Use and Size

This species occasionally enters the aquarium trade, and reaches a maximum length of 13 cm (5.1 in).

Habitat

It is a benthopelagic species that inhabits seaward reefs with areas of mixed sand, rubble, and coral.

Diet

It feeds mostly on molluscs, especially prosobranch gastropods, and foraminiferans.
