Its native range includes India, Sri Lanka, the Andaman Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hainan, the Philippines, Timor Leste, New Guinea, northern Australia (the Northern Territory and Queensland), the Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu.
