Adult Physical Traits
Adult Limnodromus semipalmatus have dark legs and a long, straight dark bill, which is somewhat shorter than the bill of the long-billed dowitcher.

In breeding plumage, their upper body is brown and their underbody is reddish. Their tail has a black and white barred pattern.

Their breeding habitat is grassy wetlands in inland Siberia and Manchuria.
