About Lapeirousia pyramidalis (Lam.) Goldblatt
Lapeirousia pyramidalis (Lam.) Goldblatt, commonly called the pyramid kabong, is a geophyte species belonging to the genus Lapeirousia. This species is endemic to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. Two subspecies have distinct distributions within the region: Lapeirousia pyramidalis subsp. pyramidalis occurs in both the Northern Cape and Western Cape, while Lapeirousia pyramidalis subsp. regalis is found only in a small area of the Western Cape.
