Erythranthe tilingii, scientifically named Erythranthe tilingii (Regel) G.L.Nesom, is a rhizomatous perennial herb. It reaches heights between 2 and 35 centimeters. Its leaves are oppositely arranged, oval in shape, and can grow up to several centimeters long; some of these leaves grow on short petioles. Its flowers are yellow, and can measure over 4 centimeters long. Each flower has a narrow tubular throat that opens into a wide, two-lipped mouth. The base of the flower tube is enclosed within a sepal calyx that has uneven lobes. This species is native to a large portion of western North America, ranging from Alaska to California, New Mexico, and Montana. It grows in moist and wet habitats including streambanks and mountain meadows, and it is typically found at high elevation.
