About Eryngium pinnatifidum Bunge

Eryngium pinnatifidum, commonly called blue devils, is a plant species belonging to the Apiaceae family. This species is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. It can grow up to 50 centimeters tall. In its native range, it produces blue or white flowers from August through November, which corresponds to late winter to late spring. The species was first formally described by botanist Alexander von Bunge, and his published description appeared in Plantae Preissianae in 1845.
