It also occurs, though only rarely, in the Aysén Region of Chile, and has been recorded as a vagrant in Argentina.
Primary Habitat
Its primary habitat is forest made up of southern beech (Nothofagus) and Chilean pine (Araucaria araucana).
Secondary Habitat
It can also be found in adjacent semi-open areas, ranchlands, and cultivated areas, usually during the winter season.
Elevational Range
Its elevational range extends up to 2,000 meters (6,600 feet).
