Electranthera mutica (DC.) Mesfin, Crawford & Pruski is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. This plant grows as either a shrub or a small tree, reaching between 0.3 and 5 meters in height. It is native to mountain regions in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and tropical Mexico. Its native growing habitats include montane forests such as oak forests, pine-oak forests, and thickets, as well as dry hillsides, roadsides, and areas alongside streams. It occurs at elevations ranging from (400) 700 to 2800 meters. It primarily produces flowers between the months of June and January.
