Common Name and Native Range

Dracaena guianensis, commonly known as the northern caiman lizard, is a species of lizard native to northern South America. It can be found in the South American countries of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and the Guianas.

This species occupies swampy habitats and other flooded wooded areas.

Locomotion and Behavior
