About Disa patula Sond.

Disa patula Sond. is a perennial geophyte that belongs to the orchid genus Disa. It is native to South Africa, where it grows in the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and Eastern Cape. The species is also found growing wild in Eswatini and Zimbabwe. Two varieties are currently recognized for this species: Disa patula var. patula and Disa patula var. transvaalensis Summerh.
