Dactylopus kuiteri, commonly known as the Kuiter's dragonet, is a species of marine fish that belongs to the family Callionymidae.

Distribution

This species is widely distributed across the tropical waters of the central Indo-Pacific region, and is especially common around Indonesia.

Size

It can grow to a total length of 15 centimetres, which equals 5.9 inches.

Etymology

Its specific name honors Rudie H. Kuiter, who was the collector and author of Pictorial guide to Indonesian reef fishes.
