Coleus australis has the scientific name Coleus australis (R.Br.) A.J.Paton, and it has two synonyms: Plectranthus australis and Plectranthus parviflorus. This plant is commonly known as little spurflower or cockspur flower. It is a non-aromatic shrub that grows to between 10 and 70 cm tall. It is naturally found in Australia and Polynesia. This is a widespread species that grows in shady, moist habitats, including eucalyptus forest, rainforest, rocky areas, and beside streams. Its attractive blue and white flowers can appear at any time of year. It is used as an ornamental plant.
