Clematis cirrhosa L., commonly called Clematis cirrhosa, is a flowering plant species belonging to the buttercup family Ranunculaceae. This species is native to the Mediterranean region. Several cultivars have been developed from this species, including 'Freckles', 'Wisley Cream', and 'Jingle Bells'. Two of these cultivars, 'Freckles' and 'Wisley Cream', have received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. In the 2000 Thorncroft Clematis catalogue, Clematis cirrhosa is classified as one of the catalogue's 8 subdivisions.
