Cheilinus abudjubbe, commonly known as the Abudjubbe wrasse, is a species of ray-finned fish belonging to the wrasse family Labridae.
Distribution
This species is distributed in the western Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
Formal Description
It was formally described by Eduard Rüppell in 1835.
Type Locality
No type locality was specified in the original description, though Jeddah is thought to be the likely type locality.
Taxonomic Status
Some taxonomic authorities classify this taxon as a synonym of the tripletail wrasse, Cheilinus trilobatus.
