Epitype (designated by Marhold in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 121: 125, fig. 3 in 1996): Collected in France, at Porte - Puymorens, Col de Lanoux, at an altitude of approximately 2,400 m, between 4 - 17 August 1974, by A. Polatschek (specimen number s.n., stored at W).
