Cardamine occulta, commonly known as the hidden bittercress, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the mustard family Brassicaceae. It is native to the Indian Subcontinent, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, most of Malesia, and Japan. It has been introduced to many locations across the globe, including most of Europe, the South Island of New Zealand, central Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Cuba, the U.S. state of Maryland, and Newfoundland. It grows as an annual or biennial plant, and is most often found growing in ruderal, or disturbed, habitats.
