Its natural habitats include Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, intermittent rivers, intermittent freshwater marshes, arable land, pastureland, rural gardens, urban areas, ponds, irrigated land, canals and ditches, and introduced vegetation.
