Cacophis krefftii can reach a total length of 34.5 cm (13.6 inches) when including the tail.

Dorsal Coloration

Its dorsal body surface is dark gray, and it has a yellow collar across its nuchal (nape) region.

Ventral Coloration

Its ventral body surface is yellow, with small amounts of black coloring along the edges of each ventral scale.

Geographic Range

This species is found along the east coast of Australia, ranging from the Central Coast of New South Wales to South East Queensland.

Preferred Habitat

Its preferred natural habitat is forest.

Reproduction Method

Cacophis krefftii reproduces by laying eggs, meaning it is oviparous.
