About Buddleja glomerata H.Wendl.

Buddleja glomerata H.Wendl. typically reaches a height of 1โ€“3.5 metres (3 ft 3 in โ€“ 11 ft 6 in), and has white-tomentose branchlets. Its leaves grow in opposite pairs, are shaped ovate or elliptic, and measure 1.5โ€“8.5 centimetres (0.59โ€“3.35 in) long by 0.7โ€“4 centimetres (0.28โ€“1.57 in) wide. The leaves have heavy lobing that creates undulate margins, with petioles 0.2โ€“1.3 centimetres (0.079โ€“0.512 in) long. New leaves are silver-grey when they first emerge, and mature to bluish-green. The plant produces a terminal panicle inflorescence less than 15 centimetres (5.9 in) in diameter. This inflorescence is made up of congested cymes that form sub-globose heads, each containing 10โ€“20 faintly-scented yellow flowers. Yellow anthers protrude from the flowers' corollas. In the UK, flowering begins in May, with sporadic blooming continuing through the rest of summer. This shrub was first introduced to commercial trade in the UK in the late 1990s. In the UK, it has been found to be hardy down to โˆ’7 ยฐC (19 ยฐF) when grown against a south-facing wall. The species is cultivated as part of the NCCPG national collection held at Longstock Park Nursery, near Stockbridge, Hampshire. It falls into hardiness USDA zones 8โ€“9.
