About Boerhavia wrightii A.Gray
Boerhavia wrightii A.Gray is a species of flowering plant in the four o'clock family, commonly known as largebract spiderling. It is native to the deserts of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, where it grows among desert shrubs. This annual herb produces a slender, spidery erect stem that reaches a maximum length of about 70 centimeters. Its leaves are lance-shaped to oblong, with rippled edges and roughly pointed ends. Most of the plant's leaves grow near the base. Inflorescences develop at the ends of the slim stem branches, and each inflorescence bears a few pale pink flowers. Every flower is just a few millimeters long, with adjacent reddish or pinkish bracts.
