About Astragalus onobrychis L.

Astragalus onobrychis, commonly called saintfoin milkvetch, is a milkvetch species belonging to the legume family Fabaceae. It serves as the type species for the genus Astragalus, which is the largest genus of flowering plants when measured by the number of currently known species. This species is native to Eurasia, where it has a cosmopolitan distribution across the continent. Its native range extends east to Mongolia and west to Spain. It also has a separate, isolated population growing in Guadeloupe.
