Taxonomy and Common Name

Arthroleptis wahlbergii, commonly known as the bush squeaker, is a species of frog belonging to the family Arthroleptidae.

Distribution

This species occurs along coastal areas of eastern South Africa; its presence in Mozambique is unconfirmed.

Habitat Types

Its natural habitats include subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, plantations, rural gardens, urban areas, and heavily degraded former forest.

Microhabitat

Within these habitats, it is most often found in leaf litter and rotting vegetation.
