About Angelonia angustifolia Benth.

Angelonia angustifolia Benth. produces flowers in shades of pink, blue, white, or purple. These flowers resemble snapdragons, even though they belong to a different genus. The flowers grow outward from a central stem, and the plant bears spear-shaped, serrated leaves. This species is native to Mexico and the West Indies, and has been introduced, most commonly in cultivation, to the United States of America, India, and Southeast Asia. Also called summer snapdragons, this plant grows in moist soil and full sun, and can survive in arid to semi-arid regions.
