Agastache pallidiflora (A.Heller) Rydb. is a perennial herb that reaches a maximum height of 4 ft (120 cm). Its leaves are semi-evergreen, simple, and grow in an opposite arrangement. Its flower petals range in color from white to purple, and it blooms from July to October. This species grows in moist canyons. The Ramah Navajo use this plant for a number of purposes: as a ceremonial chant lotion, as a treatment for bad coughs, and as a dusting powder made from dried, pulverized root applied to sores or cankers. The Ramah Navajo also use it as a fumigant for "deer infection", as a febrifuge, and for protection from witches.
