Zephyranthes citrina Baker is a bulbous plant species. It has dull green leaves that are 4 millimeters wide. Its upright flowers are lemon yellow, funnel-shaped, and measure 3.1 to 5 centimeters in length, with a green floral tube. The chromosome number for this species is 2n = 48. It grows luxuriantly in natural grasslands and gardens during the month of July, after rainfall. When in bloom, it gives a yellowish appearance to gardens in the waterlogged plains of Punjab. This species is commonly known by the common names citron zephyrlily and yellow rain lily.
