Zanclognatha laevigata, commonly called the variable zanclognatha, is a species of litter moth that belongs to the family Erebidae. This species was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1872. It is distributed in North America, ranging from Manitoba to Nova Scotia, and extending south to Florida and Missouri. The wingspan of this moth measures approximately 30 millimetres, which equals 1.2 inches. Zanclognatha laevigata produces one generation of offspring each year. The larvae of this species feed on detritus, particularly dead leaves.
