Zanclognatha cruralis, commonly known as the early zanclognatha, is a species of litter moth that belongs to the family Erebidae. Its distribution ranges from Wisconsin eastward through southern Canada, extending southward to Florida and Texas in the United States. The wingspan of this moth measures 28 to 30 millimeters. Adult individuals are active in flight from April to July each year. In the southern parts of its range, this species produces two generations annually.
