Yucca decipiens Trel. is a large, branching evergreen plant species in the Asparagaceae family. It is native to north-central Mexico, growing in the mountains from Durango to San Luís Potosí at elevations between 1500 and 2000 m. This species can reach up to 20 feet, or 6 meters, in height. Its common name is "palma china", which translates to "Chinese palm". Yucca decipiens is relatively abundant. While it faces local threats, its overall population is currently stable.
