Xyris flabelliformis Chapm., commonly called savannah yelloweyed grass, is a North American flowering plant species that belongs to the yellow-eyed-grass family. It is native to the coastal plain of the United States, ranging from eastern Mississippi to the Carolinas. This species is a perennial herb that grows up to 30 cm (12 inches) tall. It has thread-like leaves that reach up to 10 cm (4 inches) in length, and it produces yellow flowers.
