Xyris baldwiniana Schult., commonly called Baldwin's yelloweyed grass, is a North American flowering plant species that belongs to the yellow-eyed-grass family. This species is native to three main regions: southern Mexico's Chiapas state, Central American countries including Belize, Honduras, and Nicaragua, and the southeastern and south-central United States, spanning from Texas to North Carolina. Xyris baldwiniana is a perennial herb that can grow up to 50 cm (20 inches) tall. It has grass-like leaves and bears yellow flowers.
